About Hutt City Engine Reconditioning

Hutt City Engine Reconditioning Ltd. started in July 1998 by Brian Trim. Brian is an A grade Automotive Machinist with thirty years experience in machining and rebuilding engines. The other member of the team is Bruce Page, also an A grade Automotive Machinist with thirty years experience. They started out together as apprentices and later Bruce joined Brian in his business, Hutt City Engine Reconditioning Ltd. We have a fully-equipped machine shop located in Gracefield, Lower Hutt. We are proud members of the New Zealand Engine Reconditioning Association, NZERA.
Hutt City Engine Reconditioning Ltd. provides a comprehensive service, rebuilding all European petrol and Diesel engines. We have vast experience in overhauling Industrial, Forklifts and Generator engines. We specialise in rebuilding classic engines. Our oldest rebuild was a 1918 Studebaker. Some of the engines we have worked on have been a 1935 Morris Oxford, 1946 Sunbeam Talbot, 1968 Etype 4.2 Jaguar and a Morgan to name a few.
